Location, Location, Location!
The house
is located at 617 B St. in Blaine, WA. Located in the very
Northwest tip of America, it is located only 2
blocks from the Canadian border, less than one mile from two
different border crossings, for quick access into Canada.
The house is actually less than 35 miles from Downtown Vancouver
BC (Host of the 2010 winter Olympics and one of the nicest
cities in the world.) Get your NEXUS pass at the border and
enjoy the culture and excitement of Vancouver, the boardwalk
of Whiterock (only 4 miles from the house), and the shopping
of Richmond, Burnaby, and Surrey. Not to mention awesome skiing
in Whistler BC/Mt. Baker (USA) and more.
The city of Blaine itself is a great place to live. A quiet
town of around 5000 people that is growing very quickly. It
has all the infrastructure to become
a larger city, with an airport, marina, train station, and shopping. The people
are very friendly and there is a very good economic forecast for the future of
Blaine. Homeland Security is building a training
center on the South end of Blaine. Along with that there
are many other companies setting up head quarters here in Blaine with it’s
close proximity to the border.
Blaine is located in one of the hottest counties in Washington state (Whatcom
County) and is growing quickly with one of the highest qualities of life anywhere
in the world. The Pacific Northwest has some of the cleanest air and water anywhere
with a very mild climate for being this far north. The county enjoys the Puget
Sound off it’s coast with the beautiful San Juan Islands to the West, the
spectacular Chuckanut mountains to the south, a 10,700 active volcano (Mt. Baker),
and the Northern Cascade National Park to the east, and Vancouver BC and all
the mountains surrounding it to the north. Blaine is located only a little over
100 miles from downtown Seattle, and actually is only 20 minutes to the Vancouver
International Airport. Come find out why Whatcom County has been named one of
the best places to retire in America, and why our county is growing so fast!
